ShoZu & Webshots Team to Toast Oktoberfest Worldwide with One-Click Image Uploads from ShoZu-Enabled Phones ShoZu Inc. and Webshots, a leading online photo sharing site and property of CNET Networks, today announced a joint promotion encouraging consumers to send images from Oktoberfest celebrations worldwide to the Webshots site using mobile phones equipped with ShoZu’s one-click image uploading application. ShoZu’s on-the-spot uploading capabilities are expected to maximize the number of photos in Webshots’ special “Oktoberfun” collection by allowing images to be transmitted directly from the events. The promotion matches the global nature of Oktoberfest with the global reach of both companies. Many of Webshots’ members reside outside North America, and a large number of handsets that support ShoZu’s application are very widely used in Europe by mainstream consumers. |
