CTIA-The Wireless Association(TM) proudly announced the Mobile Entertainment Expo (MEX) at CTIA WIRELESS 2005 has doubled in size to 50,000 sq ft. Debuted in March 2004, the MEX is solely dedicated to showcasing the latest in mobile entertainment services, consumer end products and accessories. In addition to hosting a variety of special interest pavilions and exhibits, there will be a number of special events scheduled for the MEX stage, including the Fashion In Motion Runway Show and the Wireless Gaming Awards.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Feb. 24 Sprint today announced the introduction of its first digital quad-band phone, the Sprint PCS International Phone IP-A790 by Samsung, giving multinational business customers a wireless connection to the rest of the world at simple, flat-rate pricing in supported GSM countries abroad.

When used in conjunction with a subscriber identity module (SIM) card, the Sprint PCS International Phone IP-A790 by Samsung allows customers to make voice calls on both CDMA and GSM networks in more than 130 countries where Sprint has roaming agreements in place.

Samsung Demonstrates Push-To-All Technology Print E-mail

Feb. 24, 2005 The High-Speed EV-DO Network is Used to Enable a Multimedia Wireless Communications Experience, from Push-to-Talk (PTT) to Push-to-View (PTV), and Push-to-Data (PTD)   

Samsung Electronics, a leading wireless communications company, is proud to announce the development of a working PTA (Push-to-All) solution. The demonstration of the PTA solution proto-type took place at the company's Telecommunications R&D Center in Suwon, Korea.

This total mobile communications solution incorporates the existing PTT (Push-to-Talk) one to multi-user voice technology with the one to multi-user video conferencing ability of PTV (Push-to-View) and multimedia file sharing function of PTD (Push-to Data).

The core benefit of PTA handsets is their synchronous video conferencing ability. Similar to a walkie-talkie with video capabilities, the speaker's image appears instantly on the handset screen of the user or multiple users on the call. It is a convenient and time-saving function that allows people in multiple locations to easily conduct virtual meetings. In addition, the PTA handset allows one to send image, video clip and music contents to multiple users through one simple operation on a mobile device at one time.
