Super-Sleek Handset Has External Music Controls, and Expandable Memory Capability

Alltel Wireless (NYSE: AT), America’s largest network, and Motorola, a global leader in wireless communications, today announced that MOTOKRZR K1m, the latest in the enormously popular MOTORAZR family of wireless phones, is available online at shopalltel.com starting Oct. 2, 2006. It will be available in Alltel retail stores nationwide Oct. 5, 2006.

“MOTOKRZR is narrower than MOTORAZR and yet the new handset includes all the advanced features customers want, including an MP3 player and video camera,” said Wade McGill, senior vice president of product management for Alltel Wireless. “MOTOKRZR truly offers customers an unparalleled wireless experience.”

“MOTOKRZR delivers sleek and sophisticated design along with premium voice and multimedia features for consumers,” said Rick Gadd, vice president of sales, Mobile Devices Business, Motorola, Inc. “We’re extremely pleased to make the MOTOKRZR available to Alltel customers.”

MOTOKRZR features a dark pearl gray glass finish and refined metal keyboard. Exterior touch-sensitive controls enable users to control their music while the flip phone is closed. An optional microSD™ memory card provides up to 1 GB of removable storage.
