Electronics Show
2006 International CES Eastman Kodak Company Unveils World's First
Dual-Lens Digital Still Camera and New KODAK Photo Voice; Chairman and CEO
Antonio Perez to Address Attendees on Friday, January 6
As the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) opens here to
record crowds, Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE:EK) announced two products that
propel picture taking and sharing to new levels:
-- The KODAK EASYSHARE V570 zoom digital camera is the world's first
dual-lens digital still camera. Using proprietary KODAK RETINA Dual Lens
technology, the elegant device ingeniously wraps an ultra-wide angle lens (23
mm) and an optical zoom lens (39 - 117 mm) into a sleek, pocket-size package
less than an inch thick.
-- KODAK Photo Voice combines Kodak's online picture sharing service -- KODAK
EASYSHARE Gallery -- with Skype global Internet communications. With this free
download from www.kodakgallery.com/photovoice,
people can share their pictures in real time with friends around the globe using
Skype's free Internet calling service, talking live about the pictures as if
they were in the same room.
"CES is the world's largest, most respected stage for unveiling new products,
services and concepts that propel the consumer electronics industry forward, and
in turn, improve the lives of millions," said Kodak Chairman and CEO Antonio M.
Perez. "We're more committed than ever to moving Kodak innovation out of the
labs and into the hands of consumers. Our advances are helping people take and
share pictures like never before, creating highly personal, highly relevant
connections across space and time."
Mr. Perez will address CES attendees on Friday, January 6, from 11 - 11:45
a.m. Pacific Time, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center (Sands
Venetian/Galileo 904) as part of the CES Industry Insiders conference program.
The session will highlight Kodak's vision for a photo-connected world, and
explore how advances in digital photography are already creating sweeping
societal change across the globe. Perez joins a lineup of other renowned
executives presenting Insider sessions, including Michael Dell, Verizon CEO Ivan
Seidenberg, and FCC Chairman Kevin Martin. Kodak Innovations on Display
